Water Aerobics 101

Water aerobics is an energetic workout that will increase your heart rate and offer you a total body workout by utilizing the water's natural resistance to help build strength and stamina.

This class offers low and high impact moves to improve cardiovascular health and an abdominal workout to strengthen, tone, and build the body’s core muscles. The class is conducted in shallow water to ensure access for all swimming levels.

Participants must be 16 years or older to participate.

The Cabana Club will provide the following for the first 10 participants

  • Foam dumbbells
  • Noodle
  • Weight belt
  • Kickboard


The class is 60 minutes long broken down into 10 minutes of stretching (5 minutes before and after class) and 50 minutes of aerobic exercises in the water.


The following are items to consider bringing to class:

  • A towel
  • Swim cap
  • Goggles

Additional items that are nice to have that will increase your workout include:

  • Wrist or ankle weights
  • Hand paddles or resistance gloves


To ensure we are covering our lifeguard costs to host these classes, water aerobics will have a charge of $50 for the season which covers 14 one-hour classes (space is based on a first come, first serve basis). 

Classes are offered on Saturdays at 9:00am starting June 3 - September 2.
